About Us
J&J Landscape Management, Inc. is a landscape contracting company based in Alexandria, Virginia. Commonly referred to as J&J, we have been providing landscape maintenance and installation services throughout Northern Virginia since 1998. We maintain over 800 properties, large and small, including residential, commercial, and governmental sites. We also work on hundreds of new landscape and hardscape installations each year.
J&J Landscape Management, Inc. was founded by James Derrington in 1998 when he was 22 years old. Growing up in Alexandria, and graduating from T.C. Williams High School, he always knew he would be a business owner. After mowing lawns during summer breaks in high school and college, James decided to take it to the next level in 1998 when he started J&J. With one truck and just a few pieces of equipment, the business began. Growing the business was tough at first, but over time the client list grew, and more employees, trucks, and equipment were added to build the company to what you see over 25 years later, a full-service landscape contracting company with over 50 employees.
Over the last 2 decades, J&J has been trusted to maintain and enhance many of our nation’s most impressive landmarks and historic sites. These include Arlington National Cemetery, The White House, The Central Intelligence Agency, The United States Soldier’s and Airmen’s Home National Cemetery, and multiple sites for the National Park Service and Department of Defense. We also provide service to local governments and school systems including The City of Alexandria, Arlington County, and Fairfax County. In addition to governmental work, J&J maintains hundreds of residential and commercial sites. Our team also performs landscape and hardscape design and installation.
